You'll be working in the global Fixed Income Rates and Credit markets technology team. We are a fast-paced, highly motivated, delivery-focused but friendly team, present in 8 cities in 6 countries covering the US, Europe, and the Asia Pacific. Our job is to create and deliver innovative solutions for business problems whilst maintaining a complex and multifaceted platform

Responsibilities

You will:


help us evolve the architecture of a complex Fixed Income Rates and Credit markets system


deliver on strategic initiatives to support the growth of our R&C business


collaborate with global business and IT stakeholders to understand business requirements


design and implement solutions, writing high-quality, production-grade code


work across the full software development lifecycle, in an agile team, using automated testing


coordinate releases and dependencies across teams, facilitating cross-team collaboration


take responsibility and ownership for the system, perform level 3 support to resolve production defects, and steer the production operations team in rollout and support-related matters

Skills

Must have


Experience 8-12 years in JAVA with emphasis on performance-critical programming


Very strong server-side Java development, emphasis on multi-threaded performance-critical programs


Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and deployment best practices.


Good scripting skills (Python, Shell, etc.) and Unix


Worked with agile SDLC and TDD methodologies, with Git/GitHub and continuous integration


Should have worked with any messaging architectures like Kafka/JMS/MQ, etc.


Must be a great team player, self-learner, have the ability to take ownership of tasks and take them to closure


Should be ok to switch between tasks if needed


Working experience in agile SDLC and TDD methodology, with Git/GitHub and continuous integration


Applied solutions to cater to non-functional requirements, including stability, manageability, scalability, capacity, and performance


Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out)


Coordinated releases and dependencies across teams


Taken responsibility and ownership for a system


Nice to have


Exposure to any of the asset classes, FX or Rates


Exposure to No SQL DB like MongoDB, CouchDB etc.


Understand the sense of urgency and worked in the front office area of any investment bank


Good to have experience working with investment banks
