For one of our clients in the Insurance Segment, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Spring Boot, AWS cloud services, and DB2/SQL to contribute to the design and development of scalable, high-performing, enterprise-grade applications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance Java-based microservices and backend components using Spring Boot.


Build and maintain secure, scalable, and cloud-enabled services integrated with AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, etc.).


Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations using DB2.


Participate in the full SDLC including requirements analysis, architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and support.


Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to define solution architecture and technical standards.


Ensure adherence to best coding practices, maintain clean code, and conduct code reviews.


Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide root cause analysis, resolutions, and performance improvements.


Work closely with DevOps teams to establish and enhance CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployment processes, and infrastructure automation.


Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and backlog refinement.


Identify and resolve system bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and performance issues.


Contribute to application modernization initiatives, cloud migration efforts, and improvement of design patterns.


Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and mentor junior developers to enhance team capability.

Skills

Must have


Strong hands-on expertise in Java, including modern versions (Java 8+).


Deep experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, and microservices architecture.


Solid working experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, EC2, IAM, Lambda).


Strong proficiency in DB2 and SQL (queries, optimization, performance tuning).


Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and backend integrations.


Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and API design.


Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and build tools such as Maven.


Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver reliable, maintainable code.


Strong knowledge of SDLC, design patterns, and modern engineering practices.


Excellent communication, stakeholder collaboration, and teamwork skills.
