About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled

Java API Engineer

to join our global technology team. In this role, you will design and develop secure, high-performance, and scalable RESTful APIs that power complex enterprise systems. You will collaborate with talented engineers worldwide, contributing to innovative software projects across diverse industries such as fintech, cybersecurity, and enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based APIs and backend services. Implement multi-threaded and cache-enabled solutions for optimized performance. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices. Perform unit testing, code reviews, and integration testing to ensure high-quality deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and secure application architectures. Deploy, configure, and manage applications in

Apache Tomcat

or equivalent servlet containers. Work with

AWS cloud services

(EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS) to build cloud-ready systems. Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server. Use tools like

Postman

,

Jira

, and

Kanban boards

for testing, tracking, and collaboration. Contribute to continuous improvement by mentoring peers and sharing best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

8+ years

of professional experience in Java software development (no gaps).

3+ years

of experience designing and programming RESTful APIs in a Java-based environment. Strong command of Java (JDK 1.6 - 19+) and understanding of OOP principles, inheritance, and polymorphism. Proficiency in multithreading, semaphores, singletons, and design patterns. Ability to design and optimize systems using

Big-O notation

for performance analysis. Experience with data structures, collections, maps, and sorting algorithms. In-depth knowledge of

Apache Tomcat

,

Eclipse IDE

, and

AWS

environments. Working knowledge of relational databases and ERD design. Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail (minimum 8.2 on TrueNorth English scale). Prior experience working with international or U.S.-based clients.
