We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our remote team. This role will be focused on providing IT support to staff, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that our remote workforce has the resources they need to work efficiently. The IT Support Specialist will act as the go-to person for resolving IT-related problems, from software issues to network troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
:
Provide remote IT support to staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to company systems, including internal applications and cloud services.
Assist with the installation and configuration of company software and hardware for staff.
Provide guidance and training to staff on using IT tools and platforms efficiently.
Set up and maintain remote work environments, including network configuration, VPN setup, and device troubleshooting.
Manage IT-related tickets and escalate complex issues to higher-level IT teams if necessary.
Maintain documentation on common technical issues, solutions, and best practices.
Ensure data security and integrity while helping staff resolve IT issues.
Assist in onboarding new employees with their IT setup and provide ongoing support.
Designing and updating company websites (new website development & maintenance of existing websites).
Managing and handling our own website content, layout, and performance.
Handling OneDrive for document storage, sharing, and team collaboration.
Qualifications
:
Proven experience in an IT support or technical helpdesk role.
Strong knowledge of remote IT support tools, Microsoft Office Suite, cloud platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365), and VPN services.
Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a remote work environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
Ability to work independently and remotely, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with remote desktop support tools and ticketing systems.
A proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative in resolving issues.
IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) are a plus.
