Job Overview

Lead the design and operation of production-grade serverless APIs and enterprise automations across Azure Functions and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Dataverse, and Model Driven /Canvas Apps). Modernize legacy Blue Prism/DMS automations and Excel macro logic into secure, observable, supportable services. This role blends senior-level backend/API engineering with platform-driven app and data work in Dataverse.

Responsibilities

Backend & APIs (Azure)


Design , build, and operate Azure Functions (HTTP/queue/event triggers) in TypeScript/JavaScript and C# (Python as needed); implement durable patterns, retries, idempotency, and secure config (Key Vault, managed identities). Publish/protect APIs via Boomi API Management (auth, throttling, transforms) and integrate with Service Bus, Logic Apps, Storage, and eventing .

Power Platform

Engineer Power Automate cloud flows with robust error handling/compensation, approvals, and Custom Connectors to internal APIs. Design Dataverse schemas (tables, relationships, calculated/rollup columns) for high volume payload ingestion and responsive forms; manage env variables and connection references. Deliver D365 CE Model Driven App customizations (form scripting, command bar/ribbon, subgrid control, BPFs) and Canvas Apps . Replace legacy Excel macro logic using C# plugins with secure server-side validation and logic-intensive processing.

Reliability, Security & SDLC

Establish end-to-end observability (Application Insights/Log Analytics), correlation IDs, SLOs/error budgets; create runbooks and on-call readiness. Enforce secure by design patterns (OAuth2/OpenID with Entra ID, DLP policies, least privilege, input validation). Own ALM/CI CD for code and platform: managed solutions, solution layering, Harness.io and GitHub pipelines, Power Platform Build Tools.

Enterprise Integrations

Ingest/transform JSON/XML payloads, support dynamic schema mapping, and orchestrate async operations from D365 CE and Power Automate. (Nice to have) Implement near real time or batch Salesforce sync with precedence/conflict handling.

Minimum Qualifications (Standardized)

8+ years software engineering; 3+ years building cloud APIs/services on Azure. Hands on production experience with Azure Functions is required . 2+ years with Power Platform ( Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse). Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and C# (plugins & backend); working knowledge of Python. Strong REST/microservices and integration patterns; APIM, Service Bus; Git based CI/CD and automated testing.

Preferred

Durable Functions; IaC (Terraform/ARM); PCF/Power Fx ; Salesforce integration/Boomi; Agile; Azure/Power Platform certs.
