Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled

Senior IT Analyst Applications

to join

Automation and Optimization

-

CAT IT Division.

The Incumbent would work directly with application architects to tune infrastructure performance, review and execute architecture changes, and maintain data quality through export, ETL, and data modeling standards.


The preference for this role is to be based out of

Bangalore - Caterpillar PSN, KA -India

What you will do

Daily monitoring of Production Databases (Oracle Enterprise Manager) and Oracle infrastructure / OS level (Nagios, etc) Identification and optimization of long running queries Analysis of Journal Logs utilizing Siemens Journal Workbench Collaboration with Architects/Support on changes + Review prior to making changes
+ Tracking of impact to ongoing production performance metrics post changes
Tuning / Engagement for development environments Development and optimization of custom python scripts to ingest data into Snowflake Data modeling and data transformation using SQL inside of Snowflake Lead an agency staff to execute data lake projects using engineering and compliance data

What you will have

Previous Teamcenter design engineering and Teamcenter compliance systems experience with BoM knowledge Previous Snowflake architecture and execution knowledge Previous data governance and data quality knowledge High level of customer focus with professional communication skills. Demonstrated quick and clear decision-making skills, strong people management, and a focus on developing others. Self-starter with strong technical leadership skills and business acumen. Able to communicate technical information effectively with management, work groups, and others within the business and supply base. Teamcenter Infrastructure Performance Review and execution of architect changes Teamcenter Extract EDL Ingestion EDL Object EDL Data Mart

This position requires the employee to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

Application Design, Architecture:

Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design. + Level Extensive Experience:
- Facilitates application design reviews and walkthroughs.
- Creates and evaluates technical alternatives for complex applications.
- Interprets application services such as API; integrates them with technical design.
- Develops various, distinct and multiple technical application designs.
- Prepares technical design documents and blueprints for applications.
- Explores and evaluates application design considerations for multiple technologies.

System Testing:

Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle. + Level Extensive Experience:
- Verifies the proper flow of transactions across all input, output and storage channels or devices.
- Evaluates interoperability of new systems with existing systems during the beta testing phase.
- Supervises the testing of complex, multi-platform and distributed applications.
- Designs processes to ensure that the system meets and maintains requirements and expectations.
- Coaches end users on the development of test data and test scenarios for system validation.
- Manages the execution of test plans, including resources, strategies, schedules, processes and tools.

Technical Troubleshooting:

Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation. + Level Working Knowledge:
- Discovers, analyzes, and resolves hardware, software or application problems.
- Works with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools and utilities.
- Handles calls related to product features, applications, and compatibility standards.
- Analyzes code, logs, and current systems as part of advanced troubleshooting.
- Records and reports specific technical problems, solving processes and tools that have been used
