Creative & Design Responsibilities

Concept development

: Creating mood boards, sketches, and design concepts that reflect the client's vision. Determining the optimal layout, considering functionality, flow, and building codes.

Space planning

: Determining the optimal layout, considering functionality, flow, and building codes.

Material & color selection

: Choosing textures, finishes, fabrics, paint colors, and materials that align with the design style. Sourcing or custom-designing furniture and accessories to suit the space.

Drafting & rendering

: Producing detailed floor plans, elevations, 3D models, and renderings (using software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, etc.).

Lighting & electrical planning

: Designing lighting schemes that enhance the mood and function of a space, in coordination with electricians.

Client consultation

: Understanding client needs, budget, and timeline; translating that into design goals.

Budgeting & Timeline management

: Estimating costs for materials, furnishings, labor, and staying within budget. Coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely project delivery.

Working with architects & contractors

: Collaborating to ensure structural integrity and design harmony. Overseeing construction or renovation to ensure work aligns with design plans.

Styling & final touches

: Adding the finishing details like artwork, lighting, textiles, and decor to bring the vision to life.

Client consultation

: Understanding client needs, budget, and timeline; translating that into design goals.

Budgeting & Timeline management

: Estimating costs for materials, furnishings, labor, and staying within budget. Coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
