This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent design skills, project management abilities, and a deep understanding of client needs and industry trends. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership to design teams, liaise confidently with clients, and oversee the design process to ensure the delivery of high-quality, functional, and aesthetically pleasing interiors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead interior design projects from initial concept to final implementation.
Develop creative design concepts in line with client objectives, budgets, and brand guidelines.
Prepare and present design proposals, mood boards, space plans, and material boards.
Manage and mentor junior designers and design teams.
Oversee all project phases, including design development, documentation, sourcing, and installation.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and other consultants.
Conduct site visits to ensure quality and adherence to design intent.
Source furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials.
Maintain current knowledge of design trends, technologies, and sustainability practices.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
5+ years of professional interior design experience, preferably in a senior or lead role.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other visualization tools.
Strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence in residential, commercial, hospitality, or retail projects.
Exceptional project management, time management, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of building codes, ADA regulations, and sustainable design practices.
NCIDQ certification or equivalent (preferred but not always required).
Work Environment:
Full-time position.
Hybrid or on-site, depending on project requirements.
Occasional travel for site visits and client meetings may be required.
