SENIOR INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN
Position Level: Senior Technician / Lead Installer
Salary Range: ?30,000 - ?40,000/month + installation bonus (?2,000-3,000 per completed job)
Experience Required: 5-7 years in HVAC installation, air conditioning, or cleanroom setup
Reports To: Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation & Technical:
Execute installations of positive pressure rooms following standardized procedures
Measure rooms, assess structural requirements, design ductwork layout
Install blower units, HEPA filters, ducting, and control systems
Perform electrical connections and safety checks
Test and verify system performance (air pressure, CFM, noise levels)
Train customers on system operation and maintenance
Troubleshoot installation issues in real-time
Maintain cleanliness and professionalism during installations
2. Documentation & Quality:
Complete daily work logs and installation checklists
Document measurements, photos, and specifications for each job
Report issues or delays to Operations Manager
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle condition
Follow safety and compliance protocols strictly
3. Training & Mentorship:
Train junior technicians in installation procedures
Share best practices and efficiency improvements
Conduct quality reviews with junior staff
Provide on-site guidance during complex installations

Complete 6-8 installations per month (ramp-up to 8-10 by Month 6)

Safety: Zero incidents or near-misses
Training: Develop 1-2 junior technicians to 70% competency
Challenges & How to Support: Complex installations in older buildings: Provide advance planning time
Multiple installations per week: Ensure adequate crew support
Customer communication: Provide communication training
Day 1 Priorities: Meet Operations Manager to understand system design
Inventory all tools and equipment
Visit supplier to understand component quality and sourcing
Begin recruitment of junior technician
