The Brief

We're building a modern data platform that powers Maersk's AI and analytics ambitions across a decentralized, domain-driven ecosystem. To make that happen, we're hiring platform engineers with strong data infrastructure expertise - engineers who understand distributed systems, open-source data stacks, and cloud-native architectures.


This role isn't about building data pipelines for specific business use cases. It's about building the platform that makes those pipelines easy, reliable, observable, and scalable--for everyone else.

What You'll Be Doing

Design and build foundational platform components for data ingestion, transformation, metadata, and lineage Develop reusable, cloud-native infrastructure and tooling across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments Work across streaming (Kafka, Flink) and batch (Spark, SQLMesh, dbt) systems to support diverse data processing needs Enable open table formats (Iceberg, Delta Lake, Hudi) as first-class citizens of the platform Contribute to platform observability (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), lineage (OpenLineage), and data quality tooling (Great Expectations) Implement GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines, Terraform...
