Job Location: Mumbai, India
Qualification: CA with a minimum experience of 3 - 6 years working in field of India GST.
Role Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced person to be responsible for and manage all Goods and Services Tax (GST) matters of India. This person is required to have excellent interpersonal skills and shall play a meaningful role in ensuring compliance with GST regulations, optimizing GST processes, supporting and navigating through audits and litigations.
Experience and Requirements:

• Proven experience in India GST compliance management from an end-to-end perspective. Day-to-day compliance management including periodical report out to management. Handling GST department notices and assessments. Leading and contributing as GST SME to projects. Educating stakeholders on the vital procedures to be compliant from GST perspective.
• In-depth knowledge of GST legislation and other relevant statutory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and adherence to strict deadlines in a multinational environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Previous exposure to ERP-, ideally SAP-, environment, and Digital savvy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with business software applications like MS Office, Accounting Packages, Compliance Tools, MIS Tools etc.
• Experience and interest in new technologies E.g. Alteryx, AI tools would be an advantage

Key areas of responsibility:

• Managing and ensuring compliance with all India GST laws and regulations.
• Review and file GST returns accurately and in a timely manner.
• Analyse the impact of GST on business operations and recommend strategies to improve tax benefits.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all GST-related transactions.
• Ensure the organization is well-prepared for GST audits.
• Support in GST related Audits and Litigations
• Identify GST related risks
• Lead India GST related projects.
• Interact with government authorities and tax consultants as needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments to provide mentorship on GST-related matters.
• Keep updated with the latest GST rules and regulations to adapt the organization's practices accordingly.
