Akamai's Edge Apps Engineering team under the Cloud Technology Group is looking for a Software Engineer Senior II Lead to help lead a small team in developing and enhancing distributed applications on the Akamai platform.
As a Software Engineer Senior II Lead, you will be responsible for:

• Leading a team that designs and develops applications on Akamai's distributed platform
• Designing and implement Product Features using Akamai systems and services
• Being part of an Agile Scrum team and design and develop very high quality software solutions
• Troubleshooting and debugging infrastructure, network, and operating system issues
• Building tests for your software solutions to demonstrate proper operation to meet both internal and external performance

Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:

• 7+ years of experience with Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
• 1+ year of experience leading Engineering teams and overseeing projects
• 7+ years building distributed software systems using C, C++, Golang, Rust
• 3+ years of experience with Internet and Cloud technologies
• Have Trouble-shooting skills that span networks, systems, and applications.
• Have Well-versed in DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking and security
