HVAC Technician - TIDEL Park Maintenance

Job Summary:

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for the operation, routine inspection, preventive and breakdown maintenance of all HVAC systems within TIDEL Park. The role ensures all air-conditioning equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with maintenance schedules and site standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain all HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, pumps, and ventilation systems. Conduct daily inspection and record operating parameters of chillers and other HVAC equipment. Carry out preventive maintenance as per schedule and ensure system reliability. Attend and resolve HVAC breakdown complaints promptly. Clean filters, strainers, coils, ducts, and cooling tower components regularly. Check refrigerant levels, compressor operation, and perform minor repairs when required. Coordinate with BMS operators for alarm monitoring and system status updates. Assist engineers during major equipment overhauls or AMC works. Maintain proper documentation for maintenance activities and service reports. Follow all site safety rules, PPE usage, and standard operating procedures.

Skills & Competencies:

Sound knowledge of HVAC systems and components. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and maintenance manuals. Basic troubleshooting and repair skills for air conditioning systems. Knowledge of chiller plant operations (centrifugal/screw type preferred). Familiar with BMS system operations and HVAC controls. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualification & Experience:

Qualification:

ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

2-5 years in operation and maintenance of HVAC systems (preferably in IT Parks, Malls, or Commercial Buildings)

Preferred:

Experience with Trane / Carrier / Daikin chiller plants

Working Conditions:

Site-based role at TIDEL Park, Chennai. Rotational shifts may be applicable. Requires physical activity and working in plant rooms or rooftop areas.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
