About The Role



We are seeking an accomplished Hardware Design Engineer specializing in Electrical and Electronics Engineering to join our dynamic client team building advanced AI technology based products based in Coimbatore.

In this role, you will play a central role in designing and analyzing innovative AI based industrial products. You will ensure that these solutions are robust, reliable, high-performing and of international standards.

Key Responsibilities



Design, simulate, and prototype analog and digital circuits for industrial products.

Collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams to deliver integrated hardware solutions.

Perform testing and debugging to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards.

Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in electronic components.

Develop hardware schematics and Bills of Materials (BOM) using EDA tools.

Conduct worst-case analysis to ensure robust and reliable hardware designs.

Review PCB layouts to ensure proper thermal management and compliance with EMI/EMC standards.

Collaborate with the functional safety team on FMEDA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis) activities.

Perform and document hardware functional testing to validate compliance with customer requirements.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues arising from EMI/EMC, thermal, and electrical testing.

Required Skills & Experience:



Professional Expertise:



3+ years of hands-on experience in hardware design with a strong emphasis on analog and digital electronics. Extensive knowledge and practical experience in DC/DC converters, Op-Amps, and other critical analog circuits.

Technical Proficiency:



In-depth understanding of EMI/EMC considerations and their impact on hardware design and performance. Proven expertise in performing worst-case analysis to ensure hardware reliability across diverse operating conditions.

Soft Skills:



Good communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with a proactive and positive attitude toward challenges.

Teamwork & Collaboration:



Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments while engaging with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or a related field. Experience in automotive, industrial, or other high-reliability sectors is a plus. Familiarity with functional safety standards and testing protocols. Proficiency in design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or equivalent. Hands-on experience with PCB design, testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters), and debugging tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
