We are looking for a seasoned Senior GIS Sales Specialist to lead sales of GIS platforms and geospatial solutions across Enterprise (Utilities, Telecom, FMCG, Insurance, Infrastructure, Energy) and Government (Central/State, PSU, Defense, Smart Cities) sectors.
The ideal candidate will have strong consultative selling capabilities, deep expertise in location intelligence, and the ability to engage with both business and technical decision-makers across diverse industries.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise GIS Sales (Utilities, Telecom, FMCG, Insurance, Infra, Energy)

  • Drive GIS sales initiatives across enterprise clients including Utilities, Power/Energy, Telecom, FMCG, Insurance, Infrastructure, and Transport.
  • Identify and build opportunities leveraging GIS for:
FMCG: route optimization, delivery planning, territory management, market expansion, store placement, heatmaps, salesforce mobility.
Insurance: risk modelling, underwriting using spatial data, property-level risk scoring, catastrophe mapping, fraud detection, claims analysis. * Develop account strategies aligned with enterprise goals such as network planning, asset digitization, customer analytics, field operations, and distribution planning.
  • Present enterprise GIS solutions including cloud GIS, real-time/IoT GIS, location analytics, and integrations with ERP, CRM, DMS, and insurance core systems.
  • Lead commercial discussions covering licensing, SaaS models, enterprise agreements, and modernization initiatives.
2. Government, PSU & Defense Sales
  • Engage with Central/State Government departments, urban bodies, PSUs, Defense organizations, and Smart City missions.
  • Lead tender processes including EoIs, RFP responses, compliance preparation, and technical submissions.
  • Position GIS solutions for land management, national security, command & control, disaster management, smart utilities, and public service delivery.
  • Collaborate with system integrators on large government-led GIS programs.
3. Solution Consulting & Customer Advisory
  • Conduct requirement discovery and align customer workflows with appropriate GIS solutions (analytics, mobility, imagery, cloud, APIs).
  • Work with presales teams to deliver demos, PoCs, pilots, and technical architectures.
  • Provide industry-specific spatial insights for Utilities, Telecom, FMCG, and Insurance to strengthen solution positioning.
  • Build trusted relationships with CXOs and technical stakeholders through strong solution-based selling.
4. Pipeline, Commercials & Deal Management
  • Manage the complete sales lifecycle across enterprise and government clients.
  • Maintain accurate CRM-based forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Prepare business cases, ROI models, and strategic value propositions.
  • Drive closure of large, multi-year GIS programs involving software, cloud services, and managed support.
5. Cross-functional & Partner Collaboration
  • Work closely with presales, delivery, product, and marketing teams to develop strong proposals.
  • Engage with channel partners including SIs, consulting firms, cloud providers, telecom vendors, FMCG networks, and insurance analytics partners.
  • Represent the organization at industry events and forums across Utilities, Telecom, FMCG, Insurance, Government, and Defense.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ years' experience in GIS sales, enterprise IT sales, or geospatial solution selling.
  • Proven success in selling to both enterprise sectors (Utilities/Telecom/FMCG/Insurance) and government/PSU/Defense segments.
  • Strong understanding of GIS technologies: desktop GIS, WebGIS, cloud GIS, geodatabases, remote sensing, mobility, and spatial analytics.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Degree in Engineering, GIS, Geography, or Computer Science; MBA preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India.
