One of our esteemed clients is seeking a Senior Functional Specialist to lead and drive their analytics initiatives. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, helping shape impactful strategies.
You'll collaborate with diverse teams, optimize processes, and deliver high-quality analytics projects using Agile methodologies. Your expertise will directly influence smarter decision-making and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build strong relationships with business and technical teams.
• Lead workshops to gather insights and align solutions with business goals.

Project Management:

• Oversee analytics projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery.
• Use Agile methodologies for sprint planning and project tracking.

Requirements Gathering & Documentation:

• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and user stories.
• Maintain a well-prioritized backlog aligned with business value.

Domain Expertise & Advisory:

• Use your industry knowledge to create impactful analytics solutions.
• Advise on how data can improve decision-making.

Process Optimization:

• Identify and resolve inefficiencies in workflows.
• Drive process re-engineering to enhance performance.

Data Analysis & Validation:

• Collaborate with technical teams to verify data models and accuracy.
• Analyze data trends to identify areas for improvement.

Leadership & Mentorship:

• Mentor junior analysts and promote continuous learning.
• Lead cross-functional teams and deliver training to end-users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on data analytics.
• Deep knowledge of oil and gas operations, processes, and data systems.
• Proficiency in reporting tools like Power BI and Tableau.
• Strong experience in Agile project management.
• Proven ability to optimize processes and drive operational excellence.
