Are you the person we are looking for?

Working as a Senior Developer in BlackBerry, you will be part of a highly skilled and dynamic scrum team of developers and testers. In collaboration with the team, you will focus on software development and be exposed to the full development life cycle in the team\xe2\x80\x99s mission to support our product as it moves into the customer\xe2\x80\x99s hand. The primary programming languages will include TypeScript, React.js, Node.js and some Java. We practice Scrum / Agile development methodology which is practiced on a daily basis. The developer would be expected to spend about 70% of their time on frontend (React), with the remaining on backend micro-services.

What you will do:

• Analyze and design technical solutions
• Develop code using iterative Agile methodologies.
• Contribute to UX design reviews.
• Support and coordinate with various teams working on distinct layers, including automation/QA processes and CI/CD build pipelines
• Interface with product owners, UI architects, and UX designers to ensure the product meets high quality standards
• Build and review reusable front-end components and libraries for use by multiple teams
• Collaborate with UI development team, resolve outstanding questions, and perform code reviews

What we need you to bring:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (or equivalent) Computer Science, Engineering, Science, or related discipline
• Previous programming experience and strong TypeScript/JavaScript programming skills
• Frontend development in React, HTML, CSS, TypeScript and JavaScript
• Backend development in NodeJS and Java
• Familiarity with AWS technologies and services (S3, DynamoDB, Kubernetes, Kafka)
• Experience with automation testing frameworks (Cypress, Codecept, playwright)
• Knowledge of software life cycle and scrum development process
• Familiarity with microservice development
• Comfortable with frontend technologies such as Apollo/Relay, Storybook, GraphQL, Material-UI
• Love of front-end development
