We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Django, Django REST Framework, Linux server administration, and scalable deployments. This role requires hands-on experience in end-to-end product development -- from architecture to deployment -- including DevOps, integrations, and performance optimization. You'll work closely with our founders and team to deliver robust, production-grade systems for a growing user base.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Django and Django REST Framework.
Provide support to existing clients and maintain current application code and servers. Find and debug issues independently using CLI access in prod servers safely.
Manage bare-metal Linux servers through the command line -- from setup to optimization and troubleshooting.
Architect and implement scalable deployments with high availability and performance.
Build and integrate React.js frontends with backend APIs.
Work with messaging queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Redis, Kafka) and Django Celery for asynchronous task processing.
Integrate with third-party APIs and services to extend product capabilities.
Manage SQL databases for performance and scalability (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
Implement DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging.
Work with LLMs (Large Language Models) -- integrating APIs, building prompting flows, and leveraging AI capabilities.
Own deployments end-to-end on bare-metal infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and optimize applications for performance, security, and scalability.
Collaborate with a small, distributed team with clear and proactive communication.
Required Skills & Experience
6-8 years of full-time software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Django & Django REST Framework.
Advanced Linux command-line and server administration skills.
Proficiency with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) -- schema design, optimization, and query tuning.
Frontend skills in React.js and modern JavaScript.
Strong DevOps experience -- CI/CD, Docker, bare-metal deployments, monitoring tools.
Experience with messaging queues and Django Celery.
Proven track record of third-party software and service integrations.
Hands-on experience with LLM integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and prompt engineering.
Ability to handle full-cycle deployments -- from idea to production.
Excellent communication skills (written & spoken English).
Ability to work during US time zones.
Bonus Skills
Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Experience with caching systems (Redis, Memcached).
Monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Security best practices for APIs and infrastructure.
