who can lead the architecture and development of our next-generation website and platform built on
Next.js, React.js, and Node.js
. This role requires someone who deeply understands modern full-stack engineering, performance optimisation, SEO-driven rendering strategies, scalable backend architecture, and basic DevOps practices.
You will work closely with the founder and other developers to transform the product vision into a stable, scalable, fast, and secure digital platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical ownership, mentoring junior developers, and creating high-quality engineering foundations for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Leadership
Own the complete technical architecture of the platform from frontend to backend.
Make strategic decisions on Next.js rendering models (SSR, ISR, SSG).
Design reusable component structures and scalable backend services.
Provide code reviews, guidance, and technical mentorship to junior developers.
Frontend Engineering (Next.js + React)
Build high-performance, SEO-friendly pages using Next.js App Router.
Implement advanced UI logic, interactive components, and state management patterns.
Optimise for Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse scores, accessibility, and responsive design.
Backend Engineering (Node.js + Database)
Build secure REST APIs or GraphQL APIs for platform functionality.
Implement authentication, authorisation, caching, session handling, and error management.
Work with MongoDB/PostgreSQL for schema design, indexing, and query optimisation.
Performance + SEO Optimisation
Reduce page load times and server response times.
Implement structured data, metadata, automated sitemaps, and SEO infrastructure.
Use server-side rendering strategies to maximize search engine visibility.
DevOps & Deployment (Basic)
Work with cloud environments (AWS/DigitalOcean/GCP) for deployment preparation.
Help configure CI/CD pipelines and production-ready server environments.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks.
Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders.
Document architecture, components, workflows, and development standards.
Required Technical Skills
Expert-level proficiency in
Next.js 13+
(App Router, Middlewares, SSR, ISR).
Strong React.js concepts (Hooks, memoization, optimization).
Deep experience in
Node.js
, Express, or Nest.js.
Knowledge of database design using
MongoDB or PostgreSQL
.
Experience with authentication (JWT, OAuth).
Strong understanding of performance tuning & caching.
Git, GitHub workflows, version control, branching strategies.
