About the HRIS Org Management Team at Rippling:





Rippling is in a period of rapid growth - expanding its customer base, supporting larger enterprises and launching new products globally. At the center of this ecosystem is Employee Records, the system that powers all HR and workforce-related products, delivering a seamless and unified experience across Rippling's entire suite.



The HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) team ensures the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of the core data that underpin Rippling's platform. We manage all aspects of employee and company data, from creation to lifecycle management and are responsible for maintaining the backbone for Rippling's integrated ecosystem.



Within the HRIS organization, the Org Management team is at the forefront of enabling Rippling's next phase of scale and innovation. Our mission is to build high-impact products that empower companies to easily represent and manage their unique organizational structures - covering everything from departments and locations to job levels and reporting lines. As the entry point for every new customer and product integration, our work is crucial to delivering Rippling's vision of a truly unified workforce platform.


We operate in a fast-paced environment, partnering closely with stakeholders across payroll, time & attendance and accounting to support the needs of customers both large and small, including those with highly complex or rapidly evolving structures. What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams and leaders to deliver core products. Your responsibilities will include:

Partner with design and product management leaders to shape and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the team, while maintaining a balanced approach that considers both platform and product perspectives Lead initiatives such as architectural changes, improvements in the hiring process, enhancing engineering effectiveness, and managing post-mortem processes. Provide technical leadership and drive development in a dynamic, startup environment for a broadly scoped engineering team Up-level the team by mentoring team members by setting expectations and help them grow to take on larger workstreams with confidence Enforce high-quality deliverables and raise the bar for engineering excellence by building and operationalizing tools, monitors, and processes across the organization

What You Will Need



6+ years of experience building high performance web applications & systems. Entrepreneurial mindset: you thrive in unstructured environments and enjoy identifying and solving big problems. Strong understanding of JS fundamentals & modern frontend stack. Very fluent with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS, and unit & integration testing frameworks. Owned the improvement of various frontend performance metrics at scale. Passion for building tools, automation & AI to deliver impeccable devx. Experience with RESTful APIs, backend development (Node.js, Python, or similar), and databases (SQL/NoSQL). Solid experience in architecting web applications that sit on top of complex business logic. Bonus points for any of the following: + Built or contributed to Design Systems, Component or Util Libraries. + Worked on micro-frontend architecture, distributed frontend systems.
+ Owning platform elements for other engineering teams.
+ Taking ambitious & ambiguous problems to production.
+ Open source contributions, Tech Talks, Blogs or any work with developer evangelising.
+ Experience in observability, profiling, and optimizing large scale web applications.
