Overall Accountability:

Responsible for managing the entire plant's mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting activities. The Senior Fitter will handle shift operations, supervise team members, attend to mechanical breakdowns, and ensure efficient plant operations through proactive maintenance practices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical machinery such as Mixers, Presses, Polishing Lines, and other production equipment. Attend and resolve mechanical breakdowns swiftly to minimize machine downtime. Execute preventive maintenance tasks as per the maintenance schedule. Oversee critical mechanical works such as machine alignment, lubrication, bearing replacement, belt tensioning, and gearbox servicing. Monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and ensure prompt corrective action. Maintain detailed documentation of shift activities, breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance history. Supervise and guide junior fitters and shift maintenance team members. Ensure adherence to safety standards and operational procedures during all maintenance activities.

Candidate Profile

Experience:

Minimum 5 years in mechanical maintenance, preferably in slab, marble, stone, or ceramic manufacturing units.

Required Skills:

Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Proven leadership and team-handling abilities. In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, plant machinery, and maintenance practices. Ability to respond efficiently to mechanical breakdowns and manage shift operations.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferably in slab, marble, stone, or ceramic units)

Preferred Certifications:

Automation Training Certificate

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
