About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant.

In this role, you will:

Act as lead Consultant for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and other control functions Provide technical expertise regarding accounting issues, regulatory information and research Provide technical assistance on major transactions and product development Provide data for preparing and reviewing financial and regulatory reports Communicate practices and procedures for proper financial control Articulate the impact of policy changes to management within business group or enterprise Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with the company's internal controls policies Apply extensive specialized knowledge and act as internal consultant Lead implementation of complex projects and initiatives impacting one or more lines of business Identify compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and may support implementation of key risk initiatives Communicate and provide consultation regularly with more experienced stakeholders throughout the enterprise

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Good Team Player and most importantly is self-starter Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to track deadlines and submissions on time Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important Experience with Oracle, Essbase, Alteryx, will be an added advantage

Job Expectations:

Qualified CA/CFA/ICWA with relevant experience in Finance & Accounting Significant experience in preparing end to end reconciliation, SEC and Regulatory reporting, preparation of Financial Statements Knowledge of US GAAP, particularly Accounting for Loans Control focused, knowledge of controls around reconciliations, Journal entries and Financial Reporting Liaise and effectively present owned processes to auditors, other teams Strong problem solving and analytical skills Advanced Microsoft excel skills General ledger experience Ability to trace and investigate transactions to resolve questionable data and apply corrective actions when necessary

Additional Note:

Shift timing: 1.30pm to 10.30pm IST. Need to work till 1am on critical days like BD1 & BD15 and whenever there is a business requirement 3 days in a week is mandatory to report to office. No exceptions
