Position Summary
This role will provide support for cloud projects within the Technology organization, initially focusing on a strategic cloud partnership, with the expectation that responsibilities will expand as new initiatives arise
The strategic cloud partnership team is responsible for a long-term collaboration between LSEG and a major cloud service provider. This multibillion-pound agreement brings together capabilities from both organizations and involves migrating existing technology assets to a cloud platform. Delivery teams will be jointly resourced between LSEG and the cloud provider, leveraging agile methodologies to maintain customer focus and accelerate progress.
This Senior Finance Manager role will partner with the Foundation and Migration (F&M) workstream and will report to the Director of Finance for F+. The role requires the candidate to embed themselves within the technology team, while also working closely with the finance team of the strategic cloud partner to ensure effective utilization of the funding mechanisms agreed upon in the partnership. This includes substantial Cost to Achieve (CTA) funding and cloud platform credits.
The successful candidate should have a proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and provide valuable insight to the team.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:Foundation & Migration Initiatives - business partnering with the F&M delivery team to drive execution and outcomes Financial Performance- Analyse performance of monthly project actuals to pull out key trends that help inform forecasts. Work with project managers to ensure forecasts are robust given financial insights learnt. Drive linkage of spend to outcomes delivered. Support establishment of monthly savings reporting. Strive to improve processes and current ways of working. Financial Operating Rhythm and Planning- Provide support in establishing and driving the F+ Finance operating rhythm for outer year planning focusing on both costs to achieve, costs to maintain and savings Ownership of adherence to accounting policies to include quarterly impairment processes, depreciation schedules etc External cloud partnering. The agreement includes sophisticated financial levers that are subject to ongoing partnership and governance with the cloud service provider. Therefore, the role requires strong working relationships with the provider, as well as supporting Procurement in their negotiations with the partner organization. Working with key partners across the organization, especially LMP CMO team, D&A and Technology (I&C, Cyber, Cloud, Architecture) Support for new Cloud projects as they arise. Technology organization is fast paced with many new projects and initiatives that will require financial support

Education/ Certifications:
Professional Finance Qualification - e.g. MBA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
