- Senior Manager Finance & Accounts Location: Chennai/Bangalore We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager - India, based in Chennai/Bangalore who will be responsible for the country\'s finance activities in coordination with the management team. This person must have a comprehensive knowledge of the entire work of the school to make them extremely effective. This role will report to the Global Head of Finance, who is based in Bangalore and reports to the India Management Team. They will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company, including direct supervision of all finance staff. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, annual audit, payroll/benefits administration, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, taxation, property, Insurance, deal analysis, and partnership compliance, and private and institutional financing. Must be willing to gather external benchmarks to develop reasonable goals and financial models, both short and long-term. What will you do Review current policies. Establish and maintain sound financial policies, procedures, systems, and controls for the organization. Work with the Global Head of Finance on the annual budget process. The budget process will include annual and long-range operational and capital budgets. Manage the development of an annual budget, budget projections for strategic planning, as well as separate budgets for each school campus and the school support center team. Leadership and oversight of financial compliance function assuring that the organization and each of its schools have the with all authorizer, state and federal requirements. Maintain and update fiscal calendar for all reporting deadlines including, but not limited to, audit schedule, tax reporting, initiation of the annual budget process, and monthly close dates. Performing duties as required in response to requests from regulators and auditors; timely filing of all requisite forms with the appropriate authorities Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Company\'s reports, including the operating budget, capital expenditures, and annual payroll. Manage and develop all accounting and finance staff across the group as well as provide cross-departmental collaboration to ensure that financial systems and solutions support the company\'s evolving strategy. Provide risk management analyses to ensure Kido, the regional subsidiaries, and the schools proactively review, anticipate, and address potential risks of all kinds affecting the network. Oversee the maintenance of appropriate insurance policies. Plans and carries out a risk management program, to protect the welfare of students, and staff; protect the assets of the school, and limit the liability of staff, administration, and the Board. Works with insurance advisors and brokers to ensure that adequate, appropriate, and cost-effective insurance is in force, including liability, property and casualty, directors and officers, workers\' compensation, and healthcare. Deliver timely reports to the leadership team, school leaders, FinanceCommittee, and Board of Directors. Review and analyze monthly income statements, balance sheets, cash flow projections, and variance reports. Manage and execute year-end audits and work with external auditors to ensure clean financial audits with an unqualified opinion. Implement any qualifications and improvements suggested by the auditors Ensure systems are in place to manage and oversee all treasury functions, including but not limited to bank accounts, investments, operating cash, credit cards, and other negotiable instruments. Review the current Financial &Accounting Policies &Procedures Manual, and suggest improvements, if required for standardizing all policies and procedures Strategize ways in which Kidocan improve fiscal efficiency and effectiveness, including researching and implementing technology upgrades or online systems (accounting, storage, payments, etc.) to better support budget management. Assure that all business affairs are conducted in a legal and professional manner Develop and maintain strong relationships with bankers, legal advisors, local government oversight agencies, tax bureaus, and other entities as necessary. Work closely with the Finance/Facilities Committee of the School\'s Board of Directors Serve as a contributing member of the school\'s senior leadership team Provides regular/ongoing updates to the Head as to the financial performance of the school including identification of emerging issues. Makes presentations to the Head of School, board, and various board committees as appropriate. In collaboration with the HR, School Head, and Regional Director, develop recommendations to the finance committee for annual tuition increases and salary increases. Recommendations include relevant supporting data and benchmarks. Responsible for oversight and collection of aged accounts receivable. Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities. Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. Qualifications And Requirements Professionals working with CA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with at least 3 years relevant experience. 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in international schools. Proven success in leading a comparable organization at a senior level Proven experience as a planner and implementer, the ability to think strategically and creatively The ability to make and implement decisions while building a team Strong management, negotiation, interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills and Strong Interpersonal skills Demonstrated experience in strategic financial management and accounting including strategic planning and working for an international firm. Current knowledge of accounting policies, procedures, and practices in India and globally. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, to deal with a wide array of challenges and deadlines, and with a varied array of contacts. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, adherence to the standards of professional ethics, and a commitment to the School\'s mission. Knowledge of new online systems that the group uses across - Xero, Dropbox, Slack, and other systems.
