Job Summary: A leading event management company, is keen to hire their first Finance member for the role of Senior Finance Executive, for their Banaglore office. The selected candidate will be responsible for setting up the finance division, managing the consultants and overseeing all financial aspects of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can handle diverse responsibilities, from day-to-day accounting, compliance management and other relevant activities while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Designation: Senior Finance Executive
The selected Candidate will be responsible for the following:
1. Financial Management

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets for individual events and overall company operations.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and payments promptly and accurately.
  • Track event-specific revenues and expenses, ensuring profitability analysis is conducted.
2. Reporting and Compliance
  • Co-ordinate with compliance team to ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual compliances [returns, deductions, payments] with GST, Income Tax and other laws.
  • Handle year-end audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements annually, monthly or quarterly.
3. Stakeholder Coordination
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including event managers and marketing, to provide financial insights and forecasts.
  • Work closely with external vendors, clients, and contractors to manage payments, contracts, and billing.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for banks, tax authorities, and other financial institutions.
  • Co-ordinate with CFO's office to implement initiatives and policies.
4. Strategic Planning and Analysis
  • Conduct financial forecasting and cash flow management to ensure the company's financial health in collaboration with the CFO.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for financial improvement.
Requirements:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g.Tally, ZohoBooks) and advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Familiarity with project-based accounting is an advantage.
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field / Semi Qualified CA (not writing exams)
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an SME, consulting firm or dynamic industry such as events, hospitality, or media.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
