Job Summary:

Highly creative and experienced

Senior Fashion Designer

with a strong background in the

textile and garment industry

. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for trends, deep understanding of fabric and garment construction, and the ability to create a collection from design conception to production. This role involves designing seasonal collections, coordinating with sampling and production teams, and ensuring the highest level of innovation and quality in every piece.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development

Research fashion trends, market demand, customer preferences, and competitor products. Create innovative and trend-driven designs for garments. Develop mood boards, color palettes, fabric swatches, and design sketches. Oversee CAD development and tech pack preparation.

Fabric & Textile Expertise

Work closely with textile teams to select or develop appropriate fabrics. Ensure fabric suitability for garment construction and production viability. Knowledge of printing techniques, dyeing processes, and surface ornamentation.

Product Development

Lead the design process from concept through sampling to final production. Collaborate with sampling and merchandising teams to ensure accurate execution of designs. Approve samples, fittings, and final specs in coordination with QA teams.

Collaboration and Communication

Coordinate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, production, and marketing. Coordinate with licensed brands for collaborations and design approvals. Participate in design reviews and buyer presentations.

Trend & Market Analysis

Attend fashion shows, exhibitions, and trade fairs to stay ahead of trends. Forecast seasonal themes and market needs in both domestic and international markets. Work with key retail chains to ensure our collections are up to date and meeting trend requirements.

Key Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Fashion Design/Textile Design from a reputed institute. Proven experience in the

textile/garment/fashion sector

. Strong illustration skills - hand-drawn and digital (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop). Technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric properties. Up-to-date with global fashion trends, colors, and styling. Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills. Ability to handle multiple collections and deadlines simultaneously. Experience in menswear and sportswear.
