Senior Factory Automation Engineer

Location- Pune

Years of exp - 10 - 14 years

Salary range - 10 lakhs to 15 Lakh

Permanent Role .

Responsible for implementing and optimizing fully automated lights-out manufacturing processes across material handling, robotics, and vision-guided systems.

The Senior Factory Automation Engineer leads the design, development, optimization, and lifecycle management of advanced automation and control systems within manufacturing operations. This role serves as a technical authority, driving automation strategy, ensuring system reliability, leading complex projects, and mentoring junior engineers. The engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to enhance productivity, quality, and safety across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Automation System Strategy & Architecture

Define long-term automation strategies aligned with plant and corporate manufacturing goals.
Architect and standardize control system platforms, communication networks, and automation frameworks across production lines.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).

Experience

10-15 years of experience in automation engineering, controls engineering, or factory systems engineering.
Demonstrated leadership in large-scale automation projects and multi-line manufacturing environments.
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing priorities.
Strategic mindset with hands-on engineering capability.
