1. Purpose
Responsible for ensuring the physical security and safety of all shipments at the Ground Hub. Also responsible for ensuring the physical security of the Ground Hub facility and safety of all employees
2. Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities

• Ensure physical security and safety of all shipments in the Ground Hub
• Ensure safety of high value shipments through physical hand-over and take-over, sending pre-alerts, monitoring shipments in transit, allocating personnel to escort shipments, etc.
• Track all cases of damaged/ open shipments and conduct investigations with the origin for the same
• Ensure regular updation of SHIELD (online security module) and timely closure of investigation cases in the system related to the Ground Hub
• Ensure the physical security of the Blue Dart Ground Hub facility
• Ensure safety of the Ground Hub facility through regular conduct of electrical audits, fire-safety audits, etc.
• Ensure the functioning of electronic security devices in the Ground Hub, including CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarms, etc.
• Conduct regular security audits in the Ground Hub
• Provide support in conduct of pre-employment verifications and police verifications for all new joinees in conjunction with the Branch/ Area Security Teams
• Conduct security orientation and training for all employees in the Ground Hub including emergency response procedures, mock fire-safety drills, etc.
• Ensure communication of the safety related policies and procedures to all employees
• Undertake risk identification and assessment with respect to various security related risks and discuss the same with the Operations team for discussions on risk mitigation measures
• Liaise with the local police for smooth operations of network vehicles
• Ensure sufficient recruitment of security guards; Guide/instruct security guards to carry out security duties more effectively and conduct surprise checks for the same
• Conduct of regular trainings of security guards

• Conduct branding audits for all vehicles at the Ground Hub to ensure compliance to Blue Dart branding norms
• Conduct vehicle audits, in terms of compliance to locking system, paperwork, pollution checks, etc. of all vehicles at the Ground Hub
