Job Description

The Senior Executive - Procurement is responsible for sourcing and procuring all construction materials, consumables and subcontracting services required for real estate and infrastructure projects. The role ensures timely procurement at competitive prices while maintaining quality and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities



1. Construction Material Procurement



Handle end-to-end procurement of civil, MEP, finishing, structural and interior materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, blocks, waterproofing, electrical fixtures, plumbing materials, tiles, doors, windows, sanitary ware and paints. Verify technical specifications, brand approvals and BOQ/indent details before procurement.

2. Vendor & Subcontractor Management



Identify and empanel reliable vendors for construction materials, equipment rentals, and subcontracting services (shuttering, steel, masonry, painting, waterproofing, etc.). Conduct vendor capability assessments and maintain updated vendor performance records. Build long-term vendor relationships to ensure continuous supply and preferential pricing.

3. Comparative Analysis & Negotiation



Prepare detailed comparative statements (rate, taxes, logistics, warranty, terms). Lead negotiations to achieve cost savings while meeting quality and delivery standards. Ensure procurement complies with project budgets and cost-control targets.

4. Purchase Order & Contract Administration



Issue Purchase Orders (PO), Work Orders (WO), and Rate Contracts after management approval. Track PO/WO validity, amendments, extensions, and commercial terms. Ensure adherence to procurement SOPs and audit norms.

5. Logistics, Delivery & Site Coordination



Coordinate with site store, planning, QS, and project teams for timely delivery. Follow up with vendors for dispatch schedules, GRN confirmation, and documentation. Resolve issues like shortages, defects, and delayed supply.

6. Quality & Compliance



Ensure all procured items meet approved drawings, IS standards, and QA/QC requirements. Verify test certificates, warranties, and compliance documents. Coordinate with QA/QC for material inspections and rejections.

7. Cost Control & MIS Reporting



Maintain material rate histories and support budgeting/BOQ cost checks. Prepare monthly procurement MIS: PO status Savings achieved Vendor performance Pending deliveries Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation.

Qualifications & Experience



Graduate in Civil Engineering / Mechanical / Commerce / Supply Chain. 5-8 years of hands-on procurement experience in

construction, contracting or real estate

. Strong knowledge of construction materials, vendor networks, and local market rates. Experience working with ERP systems like SAP preferred.

Pay: Up to ?45,000.00 per month
