Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented

Banking Data Analyst

with strong expertise in

SAS

and

SQL

. In this role, you will analyze financial and customer data to generate insights that support strategic initiatives, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Use

SAS

to access, query, and analyze large-scale datasets from banking systems. Develop reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in financial and customer data. Collaborate with stakeholders in risk, finance, compliance, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. Support ad hoc analysis and business initiatives with timely and accurate data insights.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 2+ years of experience as a data analyst in the banking or financial services industry preffered. Proficient in

SAS (Base, EG)

for querying and analyzing structured data. Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. Good understanding of banking operations, financial products, and regulatory frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with reporting or BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel. Knowledge of data governance and data quality standards. Familiarity with credit risk, regulatory reporting, or customer analytics is a plus.
