Senior Executive - EHS



Position Summary

The EHS supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs across commercial real estate operations. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Program Management

Assist in developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and training programs

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities and construction sites

Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports

Support emergency response planning and crisis management procedures

Maintain safety documentation and regulatory compliance records

Environmental Compliance

Monitor environmental regulations and ensure facility compliance

Support waste management programs and sustainability initiatives

Assist with environmental assessments and due diligence activities

Track and report on environmental performance metrics

Coordinate with vendors and contractors on environmental matters

Training & Communication

Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors

Create safety communications, newsletters, and awareness campaigns

Support new employee safety orientation programs

Facilitate safety committee meetings and toolbox talks

Regulatory Compliance

Stay current with OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory requirements

Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation

Support regulatory inspections and interface with government agencies

Maintain permits and certifications

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field

3-5 years of EHS experience, preferably in commercial real estate or construction

Experience with OSHA regulations and safety management systems

Technical Skills

Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT)

Proficiency in incident management and reporting systems

Experience with safety training program development

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS software platforms

Certifications (Preferred)

Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

OSHA 30-Hour Construction or General Industry

Environmental management certifications (ISO 14001)

First Aid/CPR certification

Key Competencies

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Leadership skills and ability to influence safety culture

Problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities

Ability to work in various environments (office, construction sites, industrial facilities)
