Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Executive - Engineering (Mechanical) to join our Engineering & Maintenance team. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the effective maintenance and smooth functioning of plant machinery and utilities within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role requires strong technical expertise, a compliance-driven mindset, and proven experience in minimizing downtime while supporting production continuity.



Key Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and monitor preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and utility systems. Ensure optimal equipment performance and availability with minimal downtime. Support installation, commissioning, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and calibration of equipment as per regulatory guidelines. Develop and maintain maintenance schedules, checklists, and SOPs in line with cGMP and regulatory requirements. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, EHS standards, and statutory compliance during all maintenance activities. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality Assurance, and Validation to ensure seamless operations. Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for AMC, service support, and procurement. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all maintenance activities in compliance with GDP (Good Documentation Practices). Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on energy conservation, cost optimization, and operational efficiency. Provide guidance and training to junior team members and technicians

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance of plant machinery and utilities within a pharmaceutical manufacturing organization. Strong knowledge of pharma equipment, utilities, and regulatory compliance requirements (USFDA, MHRA, WHO-GMP, etc.). Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and MS Office applications. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
