The Senior Executive - Accounts is responsible for managing core accounting functions, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting audits. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's financial systems and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Ensure timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
Reconcile bank statements and oversee cash flow management.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), tax laws, and statutory regulations.
Assist in the preparation of GST, TDS, income tax filings, and other regulatory returns.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and support documentation requirements.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Provide financial analysis and reports to management as required.
Ensure continuous process improvements and implementation of best practices in accounting operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
2-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle).
Good understanding of taxation laws (GST, TDS, income tax).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
