Professional Summary

Sipwise, an IIT Bombay Startup, is looking for a detail-oriented Finance Professional to own our accounting, compliance, and weekly reporting. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in a CA firm who are looking to build a stable career in the D2C startup ecosystem. You will be the single point of truth for all financial data.

1. Core Accounting & Compliance

General Ledger:

Maintain accurate books in

Tally Prime / Zoho Books

.

Statutory Compliance:

End-to-end management of

GST (GSTR-1, 3B)

and

TDS

filings.

Audit & Integrity:

Rectify historical ledger discrepancies and ensure 100% data accuracy.

Payables/Receivables:

Manage vendor payments and track aging reports.

2. E-commerce Operations & Reconciliation

System Integration:

Manage the sync between

Unicommerce

and accounting software.

Reconciliation:

Perform weekly reconciliation of bank statements against payouts from Amazon, Shopify, and payment gateways.

Inventory Control:

Match physical stock with Unicommerce records and manage RTO/Credit Note documentation.

3. Weekly MIS & Analysis

Weekly Reporting:

Provide a "Friday Cash Flash" (Cash-on-hand, Weekly Burn, and Runway).

Unit Economics:

Calculate SKU-level profitability and net margins after all marketplace/logistics fees.

Transaction Support:

Generate POs, PIs, and Delivery Challans for the Sales/Ops teams.

Technical Requirements

Software:

Must be proficient in

Unicommerce

AND

Tally Prime / Zoho Books

.

Excel:

Advanced skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for high-volume data reconciliation.

Background:

Candidates who have attempted CA Inter/Final and have 1+ year of CA firm experience are highly preferred.
