Job Description


The successful candidate will have significant exposure and interactions with senior management and are required to have a thorough understanding of business strategy and goals, equipped with strategic, financial and project coordination skills. The successful candidate also will be expected to partner effectively with colleagues across other function including Lines of Business, Compliance, Marketing & Communications teams, sales & bankers, product partners and senior management. This role will be based in Mumbai and will report into the Chief Administrative Officer for India with a functional reporting line to the Regional Head of Event Marketing for Asia Pacific. Job functions/responsibilities Partner with business stakeholders to help define, support, identify, evaluate and create content for event marketing opportunities that support the business agenda. Develop partnership with internal stakeholders and external vendors in order to leverage and consolidate ideas, shared resources and cross-sell event opportunities Build and lead a team of professionals in the development and execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget Mentor and develop talent by providing guidance and direction to staff members, helping to motive them and develop their skills and abilities Organize, set up and provide onsite support across internal and external events and conferences in India, J.P. Morgan franchise sponsorships as well as industry conferences and events, ensuring benefits are delivered, effectively leveraged and executed flawlessly Facilitate the delivery of proprietary events including overseeing logistics, speaker management, sponsorship management, client and delegate management and financial management Review and oversee the development of event agendas with marketing and business including interaction with internal and external speakers and panelists, entertainment and venue research, audio visual requirements, briefing memos, create production materials such as invitation, nametags, place cards, menu cards, seating, biographies and speaker introductions Implement event briefs through research, budgets, approvals, dealing with vendors, invitation and post-event analysis Adhere to internal policy and procedures with regards to reporting activities and spend, compliance regulations, approval processes and ensuring appropriate documentation is in place Deliver high quality, consistent and meaningful executive reporting and analytics toidentify trends and themes tosupport business decisions Drive Innovation efforts across the organization, ensuring stakeholders are onboard with the requirements and support delivery Play an active role in managing work for the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) of India including ad hoc projects The ideal candidate Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders At least 10 years of experience in marketing or event planning field in financial sector Strong attention to details, problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills and ability/flexibility to confidently lead and manage an event on an end-to-end basis Confidence to be an ambassador to internal client management. Ability to forge strong relationships, interact, influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and across Lines of Businesses A senior leader with proven capability of reaching proposed targets and supporting team members with their events as necessary Candidate must be detail-oriented with an ability to prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple tasks Able to both define and deliver to conclusion a strategic agenda across multiple groups.Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely Excellent project management and organizational skills.Attention to detail with logical thought process Proficiency in Excel, Word & PowerPoint Excellent English oral and written communication skills Periodic travel within India as well as within the region is required
