The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and requirements. The role involves coordinating with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure the estimates are realistic, competitive, and aligned with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to understand the full scope of work.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor works.
Collect and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost competitiveness.
Coordinate with design, purchase, and execution teams for technical and commercial inputs.
Conduct quantity take-offs and rate analysis based on project requirements.
Maintain updated cost data and pricing history for reference in future tenders.
Prepare cost breakdowns, estimation sheets, and comparison statements.
Support the tendering team during bid preparation and submission.
Assist in project budgeting and cost control during execution stages.
Qualifications & Experience:
B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
3-7 years of experience in estimation or tendering within construction, MEP, or manufacturing industries.
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and cost estimation techniques.
Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation tools/software.
Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
