esponsibilities
U
ndertake assessments and remediation of contaminated land, groundwater and surface water resources by applying appropriate analysis and evaluation, drawing on relevant guidance, international and national policies
U
ndertake desk-based studies of site investigation data; prepare remedial action plans and monitoring/management plans; other expert services
P
repare technical reports including the analysis and interpretation of investigation and monitoring data
W
ork in conjunction with senior staff in specialty domains like geotechnical and planning etc
A
ssist with preparing expressions of interest, pre-qualifications, project proposals/bids, fee estimates and project work programmes and budgets
M
aintain knowledge of current technical standards, good practice guidance, legislation, codes of practice and New Zealand standards like the National Environmental Standard for Assessing and Managing Contaminants in Soil to Protect Human Health, Regulations 2011 (NESCS)
E
nsure assignments are completed on schedule or in a timely manner and within budget
W
ork in sync with multidisciplinary, cross-cultural and geographically distributed teams; Integrate technical inputs from project peers to deliver the project outcome.
C
ontribute on an on-going basis toward maintaining a safe working environment both for yourself and for those working with you or in your close vicinity; Ensure that confidentiality is respected and professional work ethics are maintained at all times

evelop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and the scientific community generally (including the publishing and/or presentation of papers)

ct as a mentor of junior staff and assist them in the development of their skills; Peer review of team members' work and extend constructive feedback as required,

emonstrated experience of developing interpretive or factual reports suitable for submission to statutory authorities
U
nderstanding of international contaminated land guidelines; Familiarity of New Zealand legislation and guidelines like NESCS preferred
E
xperience in scoping and conducting contaminated site investigations preferred
F
ield experience of conducting site walkovers, soil, gas and groundwater sampling including the use of field equipment; Monitoring well installations; Asbestos in soil identification and management preferred

roficient in data management skills; Good analytical skills and attention to detail.

amiliarity with EQuIS, EnviroInsite, RBCA Toolkit etc.

amiliarity with GIS tools like ArcGIS, QGIS etc. preferred

emonstrable expertise in professional report writing in MS Word and presentations using MS Powerpoint etc.

roficiencies in a broad range of data analysis and representation tools such as R, Microsoft Excel, PowerBI etc.
C
oding and scripting skills would be preferred: VBA, Python, SQL, JavaScript etc.
