We are looking for a "Senior Environmental Expert" in Gurugram, India at Deutsche Bahn Engineering & Consulting. Sr. Environment Lead end-to-end environmental approvals and clearances, authority permissions for eco-sensitive areas, pollution control consents, and tree cutting/transplantation permits.



Ensure project compliance with applicable national and state environmental regulations, rules, and acts, regulation, pollution control consents, and tree protection requirements. Develop, implement, and monitor Environmental Management and Mitigation Plans (EMMP/EMP); conduct environmental performance evaluations of contractors and project teams. Design and administer an online Environmental Performance Evaluation & Management System (e.g., e-PEMS) for standardized site performance audits, KPIs, dashboards, and corrective action tracking. Prepare operation-phase environmental and climate control manuals, aligning with energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, passenger comfort, and low-carbon operations. Ensure compliance with international funding agency safeguards (e.g., ADB, NDB, World Bank/IFC equivalence), including ESIA/IEE, ESMP, LMP, SEP, GRM, and periodic reporting as per loan covenants. Coordinate Noise & Vibration studies, baseline monitoring, impact assessments, and mitigation design; review rolling stock, track form, building envelope, and wayside solutions for N&V control. Oversee construction-phase compliance: waste, air, water, noise, hazardous materials, biodiversity protection, soil and groundwater management, emergency preparedness, and incident reporting.

Qualifications:



Graduate in Civil Engineering or Diploma At least 10 years of Professional Experience. Profound experience in Metro Rail projects. More than 5/3 years the General consultancy / General engineering consultancy / Project management consultancy / Independent engineers for project implementation authority for the Metro rail projects. * English knowledge is required; Knowledge of local language (Hindi) will add more value.
