Secondary English Teacher (CBSE School)

Qualifications Required:

Master's Degree (MA) in English (mandatory). Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed) specializing in English (mandatory).

Experience:

Proven experience teaching English to secondary-grade students in a structured academic environment, preferably in an CBSE-affiliated school.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons tailored to CBSE curriculum standards for secondary grades. Ensure students develop strong skills in reading, writing, grammar, and literature appreciation. Prepare detailed lesson plans in alignment with CBSE syllabus guidelines. Incorporate innovative teaching methods and educational tools to enhance learning outcomes. Design and conduct periodic tests, assignments, and examinations to assess student performance. Provide constructive feedback and maintain detailed records of student progress. Identify individual student needs and offer additional academic assistance when required. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth and confidence in language skills. Organize and participate in literary activities, debates, elocutions, and other events to promote language enrichment. Maintain regular communication with parents to discuss student progress and address concerns effectively. Stay updated with CBSE curriculum changes and advancements in English language teaching methodologies. Attend training programs and workshops as required by the school.

Strong command of the English language, including literature and grammar. Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching practices. Passionate about fostering a love for English language and literature in students.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in preparing students for CBSE board examinations. Familiarity with contemporary teaching aids and digital tools.
