About the Job:

Kent is looking for an experienced

PIPING (Layout), Senior Engineer to be based in Mumbai/Vadodara office, who will have around 10-15 years relevant Piping layout, mostly in the field of Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemicals sector, with large EPC companies or Engineering Consulting organizations. You should be effective with verbal and written communication skills.

Skills and Responsibilities

Working as per the quality and safety requirement standards Adopting a flexible and open approach towards the needs of projects Preparation of Stress specifications, Pipe Support Standard Specifications Critical line list etc. Perform pipe stress analysis of lines connected to critical equipment's like centrifugal compressors/pumps, turbines, jacketed piping, Fired Heaters, Reboilers etc. Perform Pipe stress analysis for pipelines as per ASME B31.4/31.8 codes Perform stress analysis of above ground and underground metallic and non-metallic piping Dynamic analysis of piping system in Caesar II using modal, response spectrum methods WRC 107/297 checks Perform pipe stress analysis for brownfield jobs Flange leakage checks as per various options in Caesar II Selection of spring hangers, expansion joints and preparation of their datasheets and conducting their TBA Provide stress markups and support loads to piping layout and Structural team Preparation of stress reports as per Client requirements Review of piping isometrics considering flexibility and supporting Review of drawings and datasheets from vendors Co-ordinating with inter disciplines Working as per the quality and safety requirement standards Adopting a flexible and open approach towards the needs of projects Piping Specification activities for Conceptual, Basic and Detailed Engineering stages of Piping Preparation of Piping Material Specifications to cover various services Design calculation like Pressure-Temperature rating, Pipe wall thickness, Branch Reinforcement Pad Preparation / Extraction of Piping Material Take-off Preparation of Material Requisition for Piping items Review Vendors' documentation Knowledge and experience with various ASME/ API/ ASTM standards and codes Conversant with Various materials like CS, LTCS, SS, DSS, SDSS, INCONEL & CU-NI. Preparation / Extraction of Piping Material Take-off Knowledge of Material Management Software

Assist with as-building deliverables In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Masters/Bachelor of Engineering OR Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering from Indian University (UGC approved) or from Overseas University. Understanding & Knowledge of statutory codes & regulations Capable of working as Lead Stress Engineer for Units and Areas within sizeable jobs Proficiency in piping design /layouts for process plants in oil & gas and chemical plants Proficiency & flexibility in various 3D design software's like PDS, Auto plant, SP3D, E3D Should have capacity to work as an Area Lead i.e., supervised/handled 10,000-20,000 work hours on an individual project or work as Lead for small size projects. Computer Applications: Windows operating systems Proficient in design development, Layout drawings independently Planning of activities and work distribution Responsible for coordination with other disciplines Control of work hours, timely maintain change management Responsible for quality of deliverables Supervise team of Engineers & designers Familiar with Design 3D Software's- (SP3D, E3D, CADWORX, Auto plant, SP3D, AUTOPLANT) Computer Applications: Windows operating systems. English - Effective verbal and written communication skills Good Interpersonal skills Presentation and business communication skill Identify/report technical concerns and solutions in a clear and concise manner Should be able to attend project and team meetings Conduct technical training session for team Proficiency in remote collaboration tools and practices. Leadership, Decision Making in own work area &Delegation Teamwork, Coordination, Planning and Organising Flexibility, Adaptability Business Acumen, Client Focus Training, Mentoring & Innovation Proactive, Client Focus, Problem analysis and resolution
