We are looking for a
Senior Engineering Manager
to lead and scale a high-performing team of software engineers focused on building world-class products and systems. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Build, mentor, and inspire a team of talented engineers, creating an environment that encourages learning, collaboration, and technical mastery.
Drive talent management, including hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and career development plans.
Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and innovation where engineers take pride in their work and outcomes.
Technical Strategy & Execution
Define and execute the technical roadmap in alignment with business goals and product vision.
Oversee architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and system performance across multiple teams and services.
Provide hands-on guidance on code reviews, design discussions, and technical troubleshooting when necessary.
Champion engineering best practices -- from design and testing to deployment and monitoring.
Operational Excellence
Implement strong engineering processes to ensure predictable and efficient delivery across projects.
Drive continuous improvement in system performance, code quality, and release velocity.
Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to strengthen CI/CD pipelines, observability, and release management.
Identify risks early, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure alignment between technology and business priorities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Product, Design, and Business teams to define goals, refine requirements, and prioritize engineering efforts.
Translate complex technical decisions into clear business trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders.
Represent engineering in strategic planning and organizational decision-making forums.
Innovation & Growth
Stay ahead of emerging technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to ensure the organization remains at the cutting edge.
Drive experimentation and proof-of-concept initiatives to validate new ideas and accelerate product innovation.
Encourage a mindset of learning and curiosity -- enabling engineers to constantly evolve their skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
10-15 years of total experience
, including at least
4+ years in engineering leadership roles
.
Proven success in managing teams that build large-scale, distributed, and high-performance systems.
Strong technical foundation in
backend or full-stack development
using languages like
Java, Go,
Node.js
, or Python
.
Hands-on experience with
cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
and modern architectural patterns such as
microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and event-driven systems
.
Deep understanding of
system design, performance optimization, and reliability engineering
.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in
fast-paced, product-based, or startup environments
.
Exposure to
Agile/Scrum methodologies
and scaling agile practices across teams.
Prior experience managing
remote or geographically distributed teams
.
Familiarity with
observability, monitoring, and DevOps tools
such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
