Seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing mobile engineering team of 10-12 engineers responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing multi-platform mobile applications for a rapidly growing SaaS environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with near-architect-level expertise, strong ownership, and a fast-paced startup mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and expand a cross-functional mobile engineering team spanning iOS, Android, and cross-platform technologies.
• Own the end-to-end technical strategy for mobile architecture, scalability, performance, reliability, and extensibility.
• Contribute production-quality code and establish engineering excellence through code reviews, design reviews, and deep technical discussions.
• Partner closely with Product, Backend, Design, and QA teams to execute roadmap initiatives with precision and speed.
• Drive architectural modernization efforts that promote modularity, maintainability, and long-term platform agility.
• Define and enforce engineering processes, quality standards, and performance benchmarks that enable rapid iteration while maintaining stability.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development for the mobile engineering team.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, capability building, and project delivery forecasting.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of overall engineering experience, including a minimum of 4+ years in mobile engineering leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in one or more native mobile platforms (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin) with strong familiarity in multi-platform approaches; experience with Kotlin Multiplatform is highly preferred.
• Proven experience architecting large-scale, high-performance mobile applications within SaaS ecosystems.
• Strong coding, debugging, architectural, and system design capabilities with a willingness to dive deeply into complex technical challenges.
• Demonstrated leadership managing teams of 8-10+ engineers, with a record of building high-performance engineering cultures.
• Background in fast-paced startup environments or a founder-like mindset with strong ownership.
• Solid understanding of mobile CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, release processes, and mobile observability tools.
• Successful track record delivering cross-platform initiatives and aligning engineering output across teams and functions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with experimentation frameworks, growth systems, or mobile-focused analytics tools.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques, offline-first architectures, or scaling mobile apps in multi-tenant SaaS environments.
