About the role
The Integrity team safeguards trust in HackerRank's assessments, ensuring customers can rely on results without worrying about misuse or integrity gaps. With the rise of LLMs and other tools designed to game online evaluations, building robust and scalable integrity solutions has never been more critical.
As Senior Engineering Manager for the Integrity team, you'll lead the team that ensures every interaction on our platform is fair, secure, and reliable. You won't just manage systems, you'll architect the backbone that protects hundreds of thousands of developers and the companies that rely on our data. This role is about shaping high-scale, secure platforms that define the future of our product and set the standard for the industry. In this role, you will also partner with the different product teams in HackerRank to ensure that the integrity solutions are properly integrated into each of the products.
What you'll do

• Design and build systems that operate reliably at massive scale, embedding security and integrity into every layer.
• Own technical strategy from concept to launch, making complex problems solvable and setting standards that guide the organization.
• Mentor engineers, help them grow into leaders, and cultivate a team proud of the work they deliver.
• Translate customer needs into robust, elegant solutions in partnership with product and design.
• Be the technical voice externally, helping customers understand how our solutions ensure the integrity of their hiring process.

Who you are

• A builder of distributed, enterprise-scale systems with a track record of leading engineering teams to deliver at scale.
• You excel at hiring, mentoring, and shaping top technical talent into high-performing leaders.
• Strong communicator, capable of bridging technical vision and business goals.
• Hands-on experience in Node.js, Go, Ruby, React, Lambda, microservices, and authentication/authorization frameworks lets you influence architecture while staying grounded in execution.

• You've built platform solutions that span multiple products, creating reusable systems that scale effortlessly.
• Experience presenting technical designs directly to customers gives you the confidence to influence key decisions.
• Have a background in security, fraud prevention, or assessment platforms that allows you to tackle integrity challenges with deep domain insight.
