Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables 1. Hands-on-experience & expertise on both GT-POWER 1D Simulation & Engine Testing & Calibration for Tractor engines development (TREM 5, STAGE 5, Tier 4). Able to deliver the simulation project independently with excellent quality and greater accuracy on predictions & recommendations for hardware finalization. 2. Predictive Combustion Simulation model development with 95% Accuracy for multi-cylinder engines (NA-Naturally aspirated & TC-turbocharged engines with intercooler, EGR with Waste gate behaviour modeling, Burn rate calculation from cylinder pressure trace (tested p-theta), Injection rate profile estimation from ET map) 3. NOx & Soot Emissions modelling & DOE optimization to meet NRSC, NRTC emissions (Diesel Engines) 4. EATS system modeling (exhaust after treatment) - DOC, DPF, SCR 5. High altitude simulation 6. Engine hardware selection - EGR, Turbocharger selection, Valvetrain, Injector, CRS System (Common Rail) by considering BSFC, Mechanical Design limits, Emissions targets (NOx & AFR) 7. Engine cold-startability simulation Experience 3 to 6 years of relevant experience after B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech Industry Preferred OEM Qualifications B.E / B. Tech Mechanical engineering MS/MTech is added advantage General Requirements 1) Sound knowledge of engine performance simulation software tools such as GT-POWER, AVL BOOST 2) Ability to simulate & calibrate Tractor Engines (Trem 5, Stage 5, Tier 4)
