2. New Part Development (NPD):
Lead new product/part development from
drawing review to production readiness
.
Interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
Coordinate with design, QA/QC, and customers during development.
Conduct feasibility analysis and trials for machining of
steel, iron, and aluminium
components.
3. Tooling & Fixture Development:
Select and procure cutting tools, inserts, and holders suitable for different materials.
Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and work-holding solutions for part stability and precision.
Collaborate with tooling vendors and fixture manufacturers.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge in
G-code/M-code
, CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.).
Hands-on experience with CNC, VMC, HMC machines and controllers (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol, etc.).
Deep understanding of machining characteristics of
steel, CI, SG Iron, and aluminium
.
Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and inspection techniques.
Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, ISO 9001/IATF16949 standards.
Leadership and communication skills.
Educational Qualification:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience:
8-15 years
in CNC machining and part development, including minimum 3-5 years in a managerial role.
