: Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager - MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)

Location: Ludhiana

Salary: ₹50,000 to ?70,000 per month

Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering

About the Role

As a Senior Engineer/AM - MEP, the candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works on-site. This role demands strong project management skills, technical expertise in MEP systems, and an ability to coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure timely and quality project completion.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end project management for MEP works, including planning, execution, and delivery within timelines and budgets.

Supervise and coordinate activities of contractors and subcontractors involved in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing installations.

Review and certify contractor bills and invoices related to MEP works.

Develop and implement project schedules, monitor progress, and resolve bottlenecks to maintain project flow.

Liaise with engineering consultants, clients, suppliers, and internal teams to finalize MEP specifications and requirements.

Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety norms, and project specifications.

Manage procurement and timely availability of MEP materials, equipment, and labor.

Monitor testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.

Prepare and maintain project documentation, formats, and reports for effective project tracking.

Support tendering, vendor management, and billing processes related to MEP projects.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote cost-effective practices in project execution.

Qualifications & Skill

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Proven experience (preferably 6+ years) in managing MEP projects in the construction industry with exposure to residential, commercial, or institutional projects.

Good knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing installations and standards.

Strong project and construction management skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and AutoCAD or similar software.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and manage stakeholders effectively.

Experience in vendor management, billing, and certification of contractor bills is an advantage.
