As a Senior Solutions Engineer you will be responsible for delivering qualitative and quantitative value through detailed analysis for our customers. Support the solutions team in developing Engineered solutions in response to RFQ's and RFPs across different industry verticals and geographies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Gather accurate information and perform detailed solution design to fully define requirements and recommend approach.
Identify facility design requirements based on activity levels, product dimensional profiles, product flow and transportation methods.
Review the work deliverables with Manager/Lead engineer including the engineering design, AUTOCAD layouts, DC Staffing and overall financials and ensure the work is delivered with required quality and within the stipulated timelines.
Determine start-up and ongoing personnel requirements based on work tasks; identify management and supervisory staffing requirements based on technical specifications of work.
Develop layouts to support the proposed solution.
Determine facility design specifications based on operational activity levels, product dimensional profiles, material flow, and transportation methods.
Identify and specify appropriate material handling and storage equipment to support efficient operations.
Evaluate and recommend automation technologies to supervisor where they provide clear operational or financial benefits.
Define requirements for office equipment and facility modifications to support operational needs.
Develop comprehensive equipment and operating supply lists. Prepare and submit purchase requisitions to support timely procurement.
Specify IT hardware and cabling needs based on workflow demands and activity levels.
Establish detailed tasks and operational processes required to execute the proposed work content effectively.
Communicates well with leadership, Team members and other departments.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule to broaden learning opportunities, led by example, and prepare for future assignments.
Working with cross-functional teams providing engineering support.
Technical / Functional / Soft Skills:
Must HaveBachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field
Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, Transportation, or manufacturing environment
4-6 years of professional experience
Experience in working with remote teams (Onsite - Offshore Setup)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Experience in an AS9100 or ISO9001 production environment
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. Interview Business users gather and document requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data.
Nice to Have
APICS certification
Extensive experience in quality, engineering, lean manufacturing and work cell manufacturing; ability to identify best practices in a high-volume production environment.
Experience with analytical tools such as flowcharts, Pareto charts, cause, and effect diagrams, run charts, etc.
