Job Summary:


The Tractor Engine Design Engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation, and optimization of internal combustion engines used in agricultural tractors. This role focuses on achieving performance, durability, fuel efficiency, emissions compliance, and cost targets while supporting production and continuous improvement activities.


Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop tractor engine components and systems (block, head, crankshaft, pistons, valvetrain, fuel system, cooling and lubrication systems). Perform engine layout, 3D modeling, and detailed drawings using CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks). Conduct design calculations related to strength, thermal performance, combustion, and NVH. Coordinate with simulation teams for CFD and FEA analysis. Support prototype build, engine testing, and validation activities. Analyze test data and implement design improvements. Ensure compliance with emission norms Work closely with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams to ensure design for manufacturability and cost optimization. Support troubleshooting of field issues and implement corrective actions. Prepare technical documentation, design reviews, and engineering reports.

Work Experience

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile 3-6 years of experience in agriculture engine design or powertrain development (tractor, Truck) Strong knowledge of IC engine fundamentals and engine components. Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA / Creo / SolidWorks). * Understanding of emission regulations and durability requirements
