Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for transmission components using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX, or Creo).
Design mechanical parts including gears, shafts, plastic components, brackets, and cooling systems in line with functional and manufacturing requirements.
Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) as per ASME Y14.5 standards.
Conduct and interpret tolerance stack-up analyses to ensure fit, form, and function.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CAE, Testing, Manufacturing, Quality) to ensure design validation and DVP closure.
Work closely with the CAE team to integrate analysis feedback into design updates.
Maintain design documentation, BOMs, and engineering change records.
Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, and risk assessments.
Experience
Minimum
5 years of hands-on experience
in CAD design for automotive components.
Industry Preferred
Qualifications
BE or ME in Mechanical/ Automobile Engineering
