The Big Picture
The Senior Design Engineer will implement the right processes and practices across the design operations team. The role is responsible for ensuring the quality of the company's products and services meet or exceed customer expectations by running various processes, like hiring new employees, training them in specific skill sets and procedures, and monitoring existing employees, so nothing falls through the cracks.
What you can expect as Senior Design Engineer at Illumine-i:

• You'll draft and design commercial, industrial and utility solar PV systems using AutoCAD and delivering complete design packages for construction and installation.
• You'll prepare conceptual design for solar rooftop, carport, ground mount systems (fixed tilt and single-axis tracking) and electric vehicle charging stations including site plans, equipment layouts, single-line diagrams, string sizing, schedule, bill of quantity, etc.
• You'll be responsible for setting up and maintaining an organized file system for drawings and other project documents.
• You'll meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with high fluctuations in work volume during the end of the month or specific days of the month.
• You'll maintain well organized documents in AutoCAD that meet the company's standard.
• You'll perform other duties and special projects, as assigned. Work with teams to ensure clients' needs and internal deadlines are met.
• You'll communicate clearly with co-workers in office to ensure high quality solar designs.

Essential Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with the specialization in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/ Instrumentation with minimum 3-5 years of relevant Design experience
• Strong in AutoCAD and or other cad-based software platforms
• Attention-to-detail and excellent organization skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Time management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving dynamic environment
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and resolve issues independently based on project/company standards.

Great to have:

• Good exposure & knowledge in NEC & IBC codes
• Working knowledge in MS office
